Paula is a founding Director of Kim Wilson & Co established 9 March 1998.
Paula is rated by Doyle’s Guide as one of the Preeminent Leading Family and Divorce Lawyers in Western Australia, 2018. She has also been recognised by Doyle’s Guide as a recommended Leading Family and Divorce Lawyer Australia, 2019.
In 2018, Paula has also been recognised by Doyle’s Guide for Western Australia as a recommended Parenting, Custody and Children’s Matters Lawyers.
Paula’s expertise is in property settlements including complex matters, and in parenting matters.
Paula is a member of the Law Society Professional Indemnity Insurance Management Committee, and a member of the Law Society Accreditation Committee. Paula has also been invited to join the Executive of the Law Society in October 2018.
Paula is a also a member of the Law Access Board of WA with her term commencing in 2017, and a member of the Law Society Accreditation Committee commencing in 2016.
Paula has been elected to the Council of the Law Society of Western Australia for a two year term commencing 2017. She is also a past Council member and was a member of the Family Law Practitioner’s Association Council from 2005 to 2008.
Paula was the Editor of the WA FLPA legal education circular, Ex Curia, from 2004 to 2007.
In 2012 Paula completed her Masters of Applied Law (Family Law) with the New South Wales College of Law.
For five years up to and including 2017, Paula was adjunct lecturer teaching for the NSW College of Law teaching part of the LL.M offered in Western Australia including FLP2 (Property Maintenance & Child Support) and FLP12 (Advanced Issues in Property Maintenance & Child Support) and FLP3 (Conducting Family Law matters). Paula continues to be a member of the Content Committee for the NSW College of Law, LL.M Family Law degree.
Paula regularly gives presentation and webinars including speaking at the annual Law on the Lounge conference (Bali) guest lectures to students in the Advanced Family Law program (University of Western Australia) and she has been invited to speak to the Tax Institute, and at Perth Legalwise Seminars.
Paula is a member of the WA Law Society Mentoring Program and the Women in the Law Mentoring Scheme which is run by the Law Students’ Society at the University of Western Australia.
Paula is interested in assisting others to reach their educational goals, in higher education. She maintains a strong commitment to young lawyers, to Family Lawyers seeking WA Law Society accreditation and access to justice.
Away from the law, Paula’s main interests lie in family, all areas of education including policy, music, art and the outdoors.
