Peter Weeks is the Principal of Weeks & Co and a highly experienced litigator whose practice is focused on the firm’s core areas of work.
He acts for clients in commercial and property disputes, including contractual claims, equitable claims, director and shareholder disputes, professional negligence matters, and claims under competition and consumer protection legislation, including misleading and deceptive conduct.
He has significant experience in compulsory acquisition and land compensation matters, acting for landowners in claims under the Land Administration Act 1997 and the Planning and Development Act 2005, including injurious affection claims arising from planning reservations. He also acts in administrative and regulatory matters, including judicial review of government decisions and defending clients in planning, environment, water use and other regulatory prosecutions.
Peter also acts in inheritance, estate and trust litigation, including family provision claims, disputes over the validity of Wills, executor and trustee disputes, trust litigation, and matters concerning a person’s capacity.
