Renee Bennett, wilson/ryan/grose

Renee is a Partner of wilson/ryan/grose and heads our Succession Law work group.

Renee is a Queensland Law Society accredited specialist in Succession Law. She practices solely in Succession Law, encompassing estate planning, estate administration, trust and estate litigation and guardian matters. Renee joined the Firm as an articled clerk in 2000 before being appointed as an Associate in 2004 and a Partner in 2007.

Renee is regularly invited to present on Succession Law related topics at legal and accounting conferences. Renee is also an Adjunct Lecturer in the Masters of Law Program at the College of Law.  Renee is a member of the Queensland Law Society Succession Law Specialist Accreditation Advisory Committee.

Her clients range from individuals to families to businesses and corporations regarding their estate planning, business succession planning and estate litigation needs.

Renee has also been appointed by the Court as a Court Appointed Administrator in contentious estates. Outside of the office, Renee provides legal assistance to charitable organisations and is a Director of Cootharinga North Queensland and a committee member of STEP Queensland.

Renee was appointed a Notary Public in 2017, after being granted a Notarial Faculty by the Archbishop of Canterbury through his court, The Court of Faculties, London.

The functions of a Notary are derived chiefly from custom and most often involves drawing, attesting and certifying documents under the Notary’s own official seal, which has international recognition, as well as administering oaths and declarations for use in proceedings in Australia and internationally.

Renee’s appointment as a Notary Public is testament of her high standing in the legal and business community.
