Shae Mitchell, Hansons Lawyers

Shae holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance attained from the University of Wollongong. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University.

Shae has been admitted as a solicitor of both the Supreme Court and the High Court and is a dedicated member of the Hansons Family Law division. She also regularly practises in the areas of Criminal Law.

Shae is dedicated to providing the best outcomes while maintaining a friendly and approachable relationship with her clients.

She has experience in all areas of family law including divorce, property settlements, spousal maintenance, parenting matters and matters involving de-facto relationships and same sex couples.

She is able to provide advice in relation to apprehended violence orders, driver’s licence suspensions and appeals, drink driving offences, domestic violence offences and other matters.

She believes that most matters are best resolved without the need for court intervention. With a sensible and common sense approach, most matters can be resolved by way of Consent Orders or by Agreement. She also understands that sometimes court action is the only avenue of redress and regularly appears in both the Local Court, District Court, Supreme Court, Federal Circuit Court and the Family Court of Australia as an advocate for her clients.

Shae grew up on the South Coast and has strong ties to the Illawarra region. In her spare time she likes to spend time outdoors enjoying the general splendour of the Illawarra.
