Tom was admitted to the NSW Bar in April 1989. He is also admitted to practice in QLD and the ACT.
Tom regularly appears before the NSW Supreme, District and Local Courts, in a wide variety of complex criminal matters. He has conducted a great many criminal trials in his 30 years of practice including murder trials, serious sexual assaults, large commercial drug charges, fraud matters and armed robbery offences.
He is regarded as an outstanding jury advocate and formidable cross examiner who is thoroughly versed in the principles of criminal law. He has been for many years on the Legal Aid Commission Complex Legal Matters Panel and is a past member of the NSW Bar Council.
He is regularly briefed by the leading criminal law practices in NSW.
