Tom was admitted to the NSW Bar in April 1989, he is also admitted to practice in QLD and the ACT.
Tom regularly appears before the NSW Supreme, District and Local Courts and has also appeared in the High Court of Australia on numerous occasions and as Counsel Assisting ICAC.
In his 30 years of practice he has appeared in a wide variety of criminal matters including murder trials, serious sexual assaults, large commercial drug cases, serious armed robbery offences and complex fraud matters.
He is regarded as an outstanding jury advocate and a formidable cross examiner. He is thoroughly versed in the principles of evidence and the criminal law. He is regularly briefed by many of the leading criminal law practices in NSW.
Tom is a past member of the NSW Bar Council and of the NSW Bar Association Criminal Law Committee. He has for many years been a panel member on the NSW Legal Aid Complex Criminal Law Barrister Panel and has successfully defended a great many high profile clients.
