Tylah moved to Watts McCray in 2017, and she has since worked exclusively in the area of family law.
Tylah developed a passion for Family Law during her time at University and has practiced exclusively in the area since her admission as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia.
Prior to joining Watts McCray Tylah worked as a paralegal in a boutique criminal law firm in Western Sydney where her desire to assist clients during times of difficulty, was sparked. Since commencing legal practice, Tylah has had carriage of a wide variety of complex property and parenting matters including interstate and international relocation matters, Hague Convention matters (international child abduction), spouse maintenance applications, medical procedure proceedings, parenting matters in the Critical Incident List and Evatt List (high risk parenting matters), and complex property matters including in the Complex Major Financial Proceedings list. You can be assured that Tylah is aware of changes in the law and can support your case with contemporary binding precedents, and practical knowledge of current Court practice and procedure.
Tylah is dedicated to providing her clients with timely, clear and concise advice to ensure they feel empowered during what is an undoubtedly stressful and emotional chapter of their lives. Her empathetic and personable nature means that Tylah takes the time to ensure she understands each client’s individual circumstances and adapts her litigation strategy accordingly. As a mother herself, Tylah understands the gravity of family law matters. Tylah always strives towards a cost-effective resolution to her client’s family law matters.
Tylah grew up in Greater Western Sydney and completed her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting at the University of Technology Sydney in 2019. She also completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with the College of Law in 2019, prior to her admission as a Lawyer in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 2020.
Tylah is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales, the Law Council of Australia’s Family Law Section, is the past elected Secretary of the Law Society NSW Young Lawyers Family Law Sub-Committee and volunteers at the Redfern Legal Centre. In 2021 she was recognised in the Doyle’s Guide as a Rising Star in Family Law in New South Wales. In 2025 she was recognised as a Future Legal Leader by Australasian Lawyer. In 2026 she was featured by Women’s Agenda as one of “The Women to Watch in Australia’s legal sector”.
Outside of work, Tylah enjoys spending time with her young family, her cavoodle Bear, and enjoying coffee with friends.
