Rose is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law with over 15 years of experience. She was recognised as a “Rising Star” in the “Doyle’s Guide to the Australian Legal Market” and is trained in Collaborative law.
Rose advises, and has acted in, a broad range of matters across all practice areas in Family Law, including:
- financial matters, including those with complex financial structures, valuation issues, spouse maintenance, matters involving farming assets and assets held outside of Australia;
- parenting disputes involving allegations of family violence and relocation issues;
- child support; and
- appeal proceedings.
Rose is committed to resolving disputes cost-effectively whilst also achieving the best possible outcome for her clients. Where appropriate, Rose is a proponent of alternate dispute resolution methods and regularly represents clients in private mediation throughout all stages of a matter. Where that is not appropriate, Rose advocates fiercely for her clients in litigation across both Divisions of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
Rose has developed positive working relationships with leading Senior and Junior Counsel in the Family Law jurisdiction, as well as a number of leading experts. She has worked collaboratively and productively with consultants engaged by her clients to help streamline certain forensic processes, including with accountants, psychologists and family offices. She has a keen eye for detail and prides herself on clear and concise communication with her clients. She appreciates there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to Family Law, and that each case requires a tailored approach to best meet the needs of her clients.
The most notable matters in which Rose has been involved include:
- successfully obtaining a summary dismissal of an application to re-open parenting and property proceedings which had previously been resolved on a final basis;
- successfully obtaining an order for indemnity costs;
- negotiating consent orders to secure the continued ownership of farming property which represented generational wealth for her client; and
- a property settlement matter comprising an asset pool valued in excess of $200 million comprising assets held in both Australia and abroad.
