Mid-sized Queensland firm, Barry.Nilsson. Lawyers has announced that the firm will be expanding to Sydney as of Monday February 17th.
The partner who will be responsible for leading the new Sydney insurance practice is former Norton Rose Fulbright lawyer, Nicholas Andrew. With 15 years’ experience in advising insurers, Andrew specialises in professional indemnity, general liability and property. He has particular experience in complex construction and engineering matters, and in broader policy and coverage aspects.
The firm’s Managing Partner Don Leembruggen says a Sydney office was “always on the cards” and that the insurance area was the obvious place to start. “It’s a natural progression given the size and expertise of our insurance law practice and the structure of the insurance industry in Australia.”
Barry.Nilsson’s Sydney office will be located in the MLC Centre and will be open for business from 17 February.
