Joseph Braverman, William Roberts Lawyers

Joseph is a Principal Lawyer at William Roberts Lawyers. He has a Bachelor of Laws from Deakin University and has completed a Master of Laws on a scholarship with Deakin University.

Joseph is a commercial litigator, who has represented individuals and corporations predominately in the class actions and insurance law space.

He has experience in

  • assisting in the preparation of complex advices in relation to shareholder and consumer law class actions. These advices have considered issues relating to liability, quantum, and cross-border enforcement.
  • preparing complex advices in life insurance and home builder warranty insurance matters, drafted pleadings and prepared an array of other court documents.
  • Moreover, he has been involved in matters involving cyber security breaches.
  • He has instructed in the High Court of Australia, Supreme Court of Victoria, District Court of Western Australia and the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria.

Joseph is on the following Committees and Boards:

  • LIV’s Competition and Consumer Law Committee. As part of this Committee, I monitor and undertake law reform projects and respond to calls for submissions on important areas of public policy and law reform.
  • Monkami Board as Secretary and recognise that I wouldn’t have the opportunity to do so without the support of William Roberts Lawyers – Monkami is an organisation that exists to provide persons with a disability the support, opportunities and skills to live their life to its fullest potential.
