Kirralee Young, 13th Floor St James Hall

Kirralee Young is a commercial and equity equity practitioner (Allen & Overy LLP, United Kingdom and Minter Ellison, Australia) who has more than 25 years of experience advising clients including various government departments and agencies and entities and the private sector in Australia and internationally on litigious matters. 

Since coming to the NSW Bar in 2013, she has also specialised in succession, protective law and complex elder abuse matters.  She is a current member of the NSW Bar Association Committee on Succession and Elder Law and the Costs Committee. She has also been an Advocacy Coach for NSW Bar Readers Course since 2020.

Having worked as an Assistant Crown Solicitor in NSW, she has a deep appreciation of issues affecting public sector and government clients. She has often been engaged by both the public and private sector due to her extensive experience in managing complex and often politically sensitive disputes with a minimum of fuss.

Kirralee has also significant corporate experience having worked as both a legal counsel and company secretary for Fujitsu Consulting for the Asia/Pacific region for three years.

Winner of the Con Varnavas Award for the highest aggregate score in NSW Bar Exams.

She was also appointed by the Chief Justice of Supreme Court as a Costs Assessor in major litigation matters and has acted as costs assessor in over 800 costs assessment matters since her appointment in 2013 (both party/party and solicitor/client costs) renewed in 2015, 2017 and 2022.
