Pricing Report – Planning & Environment, WA, 2012

The 2012 WA Planning & Environment Pricing Report details market factors, trends and other matters relevant to the pricing of legal services as well as recorded and suggested pricing levels. It is compiled on the back of feedback from both solicitors practising within these areas and client referees.

In most other major Australian states the presence of specialist planning and environment firms has placed significant downward pressure on hourly rates and pricing levels yet in Western Australia, despite the growing presence and number of such firms pricing levels remain relatively solid.

In the overwhelming majority of matters the hourly rate remains dominant however fixing fees on a stage based scenario is beginning to gain traction.
