Kristy Winter, O’Brien Winter Partners

Kristy commenced her legal training when she was accepted to the University of New England to complete a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and Bachelor of Law. On completion of her studies, Kristy received recognition by the Golden Key International Society for academic excellence to the top 15% of all undergraduate degrees across New South Wales.

Kristy went on to complete her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the New South Wales College of Law and was admitted as a Practitioner of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in August 2009. Kristy was further admitted to the High Court of Australia in September 2009.

It was during the Practical Legal Training component of her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice that Kristy first came into contact with Nicolas Moir and Associates. Kristy completed her legal training with Nicolas Moir and Associates in June 2009 and was offered a full-time position with the Firm.

Kristy has appeared regularly in all Criminal Courts since her admission including the Supreme Court of NSW and the Court of Criminal Appeal. Kristy has had extensive experience as an Advocate appearing in Local and District Courts throughout the Hunter and Sydney and regularly travels to instruct and appear in complex Criminal Trials throughout the State. Kristy has also expanded the Firm’s services to offer a Family Law sector.  Kristy became a Director of the now O’Brien Winter Partners in 2013 after completing the Practice Management Course and receiving her Unrestricted Practising Certificate.
