A competition and regulatory specialist advising Australian and international corporate clients, utilities, and regulators on all aspects of competition law and regulation.
Specialist competition/anti-trust experience, with particular expertise in advising on and obtaining clearance for domestic and cross-border mergers, the structuring of joint ventures and other collaborative arrangements within the bounds of competition law, and advising on anti-competitive conduct.
Detailed understanding of operations and significant experience in advising on the competition/anti-trust implications in the pharmaceuticals, life sciences and healthcare sectors, financial markets, transport, travel and the retail industry, including FMCG.
Experience in advising on the economic regulation of utilities, including the electricity, gas and transport sectors under relevant national and state-based regulatory frameworks. Gas and electricity experience also includes contract negotiation and an understanding of the respective liabilities of stakeholders along the supply chain. Ports and rail access experience including advising on access and declarations.
