Corporate and commercial lawyer Andrew Rankin has joined DibbsBarker’s Brisbane office as a Partner.
Rankin previously was a Partner at Norton Rose Fulbright where he was a partner in the Corporate & Commercial team for 10 years, before which he was a senior practitioner at Allens. He brings strong credentials in several of DibbsBarker’s key industry sectors, particularly Agribusiness, Life Sciences & Healthcare and Energy & Infrastructure.
Rankin Recently advised Sundrop Farms Holdings Ltd, a London-based company that operates greenhouse facilities in South Australia and produces pest-free vegetables, on the $100 million investment it received from global private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co L.P. Andrew also led the team that advised Allied Gold Limited on two concurrent schemes of arrangement which resulted in the $387 million placement of Allied Gold Mining PLC on the main market of the London Stock Exchange, the Australian Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange.
He also has longstanding relationships with a number of clients since his career began, including Queensland X-Ray,
Sugar Research Australia and Gallagher Bassett Services.

Rankin is the third senior recruit to join DibbsBarker’s commercial practice in Brisbane this year. Partner Juanita Rayson was welcomed from Corrs Chambers Westgarth in February, while Partner Anna Feros joined in April upon her return to Australia from Shepherd & Wedderburn LLP in London.
