KWM advises on cross-border wind farm project

King & Wood Mallesons has advised National Australia Bank (NAB) in its capacity as Mandated Lead Manager and Bookrunner and Sole ECA Arranger on the financing of the Musselroe wind farm project.

The transaction represents one of only a handful of financings in Australia to include long term ECA financing provided by Eksport Kredit Fonden, the Danish Export Credit Agency.

The King & Wood Mallesons team advising NAB was led by banking and finance partner Jeff Clark, who was supported by senior associate Charlie Detmold and solicitor Andrew Vincent.  Partners Louis Chiam and James Forrest advised on construction, energy and regulatory aspects of the transaction, supported by senior associate Sonali Rudolph and solicitor Tian Xu.  Herbert Smith Freehills advised Hydro Tasmania.

The King & Wood Mallesons Sydney team also advised Guohua Energy Investment Co. on its acquisition of a 75 percent equity stake in the project
