Leading Planning & Environment Barristers – South Australia, 2014

This listing details leading South Australian based Senior Counsel and Junior Counsel practising within the areas of planning and/or environment matters. It is compiled on the back of feedback from solicitors practising within these areas.

Stuart Henry SC and Brian Roder QC sit atop the South Australian planning and environment bar.  Both are universally regarded for their advocacy skills and knowledge in the area.

Veteran Brian Hayes QC’s experience in the area continues to be valued however the competing interests of his roles as Chair of the Planning Reform Commission and as the South Australian Special Envoy to India have reduced his influence.

Kym Tredrea continues to be the only shining light at the Junior Bar albeit that the the demand for junior counsel in the area is limited.  Mark Douglas who only arrived at the bar in 2011 was seen as “promising”.
