Leading Tasmanian Family Law Barristers, 2012

The majority of Tasmania’s solicitors practising within the area of family law regularly undertake the responsibility of advocacy when matters do head to court.  As such, the specialist family law bar in the Tasmanian market is small.

At the Senior Counsel level Fabian Dixon SC, despite spending much of his time operating within the Melbourne market, continues to gain favour as does Peter Tree SC.  Within the ranks of Junior Counsel Kate Mooney’s focus on the area saw her viewed as the standout however the recent return of former Tasmanian Commissioner for Children, Paul Mason to the Bar is viewed a significant development.
