David Kiel is a lawyer in the Employment team in DLA Piper's Perth office. He provides strategic employment and workplace relations advice and representation to employers engaged in a range of industry sectors.
David has a particular interest in litigation and has experience litigating in a range of jurisdictions including the Fair Work Commission, WA Industrial Relations Commission, Supreme Court of Western Australia, District Court of Western Australia, Magistrates Court of Western Australia, Federal Court, Federal Circuit Court and State Administrative Tribunal.
In addition to handling employment-related litigation, he advises on a variety of employment law issues including unfair dismissal and general protections, performance management, termination of employment, contracts of employment and restraints of trade, NES entitlements, awards and enterprise agreements, superannuation and taxation, workplace bullying and harassment, occupational health and safety, policies and procedures, transfers of business, redundancies and reorganisation.
