I specialise in building & construction litigation, commercial litigation & dispute resolution with over 18 years experience.
I have assisted a variety of clients including commercial & residential builders, subcontractors and land/property owners with building & construction disputes in Court, mediation, arbitration, VCAT and the Building Appeals Board. Examples include (but not limited to) disputes relating to:
- variations, extensions of time, delays costs, defective design, defective works, property damage, liquidated damages and negligence;
- proportionate liability and contribution;
- the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act (Vic), including preparation of and responding to payment claims and adjudication applications and making applications to Court for summary judgment under the Act;
- Domestic Building Warranty insurance claims, including the preparation of claims to the insurer and VCAT applications seeking to review decisions made by the insurer;
- trespass and adverse possession; and
- protection works.
I have also assisted individuals and businesses in a wide range of commercial disputes in State, Federal and Appellate jurisdictions as well as alternative dispute resolution (including mediation and conciliation).
I have extensive experience handling complex commercial litigation, insolvency matters, debt recovery, responding to and disputing creditors’ statutory demands and enforcement of judgments (including winding up and bankruptcy proceedings).
