Alison James, SHAW Dispute Resolution
Alison James is the Founder of SHAW Dispute Resolution. Based in Adelaide, but operating Australia wide, Alison has a team of over 40 legally trained Mediators, Arbitrators and Workplace Investigators assisting individuals and businesses with resolving their disputes.
Alison’s primary goal is to assist individuals and businesses with resolving their disputes without going to Court. Alison understands that time and money are important to people and businesses and she enjoys finding solutions for matters in a more time and cost effective way while also safeguarding relationships.
Alison has over 20 years of experience in the legal profession. Alison graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Bachelor of Arts – Jurisprudence) in 1992. She has since completed her Master of Business Administration and Graduate Certificate of Mediation.
Alison is a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, Nationally Accredited Mediator and Arbitrator.
Alison has been appointed as a Mediator for the Australian Small Business Family Enterprise Ombudsman, Adelaide Magistrates Court, Office of Small Business and Return to Work SA just to name a few.
Alison has been a finalist in the Australasian Law Awards for 2018, 19 and 20, the Women in Law Awards in 2018 and the ADR Awards in 2020.
Alison is also currently a Barrister at Mitchell Chambers.
